Funeral services for Margaret E. Buchanan, 89, of New Albany, will be at noon Friday, Jan. 11, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
She was born Sept. 29, 1923 in New Albany, to the late Jewett and Grace McIntyre. She was a member of the social and tenant clubs at Mark Elrod Towers and VFW Post 3281 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters, Sherry “Missy” Johnson and her husband, Daniel, of Borden, Patricia Lee, of New Albany, Judy Hodge and her husband, Butch, of New Albany, Lisa Brooking and her husband, Rusty, of Memphis, and Janice Kay Timberlake, of Elizabeth; son, Richard Hash and his wife, Paula, of Mayfield, Ky.; sister, Sara Barney Stewart, of New Albany; brother, Robert McIntyre, of Louisville; niece, Pamela Lieber and her husband, David, of New Albany; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
