Funeral services for Paul Edward Emly Sr., 76, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at E.M.Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Eastern Cemetery. He died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at his home.
He was retired from International Harvest as a union steward. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He is survived by his son, Steve Emly and wife, Trina, of Sellersburg; daughter, Sherry Woods and husband, Steve, of New Washington; daughter, Paula Cross and husband, Ron, of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Paul Woods, Josh Woods, Kristin Woods, Nathan Cross, Bryce Cross, Bradley Cross, Katie Emly, Jaclyn Emly, and Megan Emly; six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Emly and wife, Linda, of Jeffersonville; sisters, Ruth Powell, of Jeffersonville, Mary Louise Murphy, of New Albany, Martha Bishop and husband, Ray, of Jeffersonville, and Barbara Carter of Jeffersonville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Emly, father, David Emly, mother, Louise Emly, brother, David Emly, and grandson, Tyler James Cross.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
