A memorial service for Leland H. Belcher, 74, of Henryville, will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Adams Funeral Homes & Crematory, Henryville. He died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
Born Nov. 23, 1938 in Dorton, Ky., he was the son of Orville and Lexie Fleming Belcher, who are both deceased. He retired from Brown & Williams Tobacco Company when he was 42 and then enjoyed trading for a living. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include two sons, Richard “Rick” Belcher and his wife, Debra, of Henryville, and Lee Belcher and his wife, Amy, of Henryville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Kay Fleming, of Dorton, Ky., Debbie Elkins, of Dorton, Ky., and Judy Campbell, of Dandridge, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Cremation services has been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to NRA (National Riffle Association) c/o Adams Funeral Home, 209 S. Ferguson St., Henryville, IN 47126.
