Funeral services for Clarence “John” Freels, 85, of Lexington, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington, with burial in Hibernia Cemetery. He died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 23, 1927 to Ernest Walker and Latter Bell Long Freels in Anderson County, Tenn. He was an Army Veteran, a retired construction worker for the Laborers International Union of North America Local #795 and enjoyed horse back riding and road trips in his car.
Survivors include his sisters, Teeny Brison, of Marysville, and Dorothy French of Florida; and several nieces and nephews including, Donald Freels and his wife, Julia, of Marysville.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to Down Syndrome of Louisville.
