Funeral services for Nancy E. Takami, 62, of Borden, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at home with her family.
She was born Oct. 2, 1950, in DeKalb, Ill. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, as well as a devout Christian and a member of Christ Gospel Church.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Travis Takami; three children, Teru Irvin and her husband, Todd, of New Albany, Daniel Takami, of Louisville, and Andrew Takami and his wife, Ann, of Sellersburg; a brother, Larry Wilson and his wife, Cheryl, of Charlestown; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Wilson and Dorothy Long.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, and after 10 a.m. Friday, at Christ Gospel Church.
