A memorial service for Walter A. English Jr., 78, of Jeffersonville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his son, Walter A. English III and wife, Sheila, of Marysville; daughters, Rebecca English, of Crest City, Calif., Lori Sharp, of New Albany, and Arlene R. English; sisters, Phyllis Wilder, of Sellersburg, Marilyn Sommers, of Jeffersonville, and Reta English, of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. English Sr. and Minetta Ruth English.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
