A memorial service for Robert H. “Bobby” Wenzler, 67, of New Albany, will be 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Palm Mortuary, Henderson, Nev., and a memorial Mass will be at 6 p.m. Friday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Spring and Eighth streets., New Albany, with a reception to follow. He died Aug. 5, 2010, in Henderson, Nev., where he resided.
He was a longtime resident of New Albany, and formerly owned and operated Wenzler Tire Co. He was a former member of the New Albany Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Wenzler; son, Christopher Wenzler, of Greenville; daughter, Melissa Barnes, of Floyds Knobs; stepchildren, Angela Rizzo Nunnley, Lee and Michael Rizzo, all of Henderson, Nev., and Krista Shirk Popham, of New Albany; sisters, Patty Bryant, of Cincinnati, and Cathy Denton, of New Albany; and 10 grandchildren.
Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, is in charge of local arrangements.
