Funeral services for Dorothy Renee Ballard, 46, of Sellersburg, will be at noon Friday, Nov. 2, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.
She was an avid General Hospital fan and enjoyed doing the dishes. She could easily be described as a kid at heart and she truly loved her family. She was born on Feb. 4, 1966, in Chicago.
She is survived by her sister, Alisa Ashby; aunts, Betty Ann Roseberry, Mary Dunlap and her husband, Ted, and Jackie Schmidt and her husband, George; cousins, Susan, Brandon, Jené “Nikki”, Shawn P., Avery, Embry Howard, and Aidan Schultz; numerous extended family, cousins; and her faithful companion, Gracie Mae.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Floyd County Animal Shelter or to the Humane Society.
