Cody Lee Ott, 42, of Jeffersonville, died Saturday, March 24, 2012.
He was born to Worden Kendrick and Patricia Catherine Haycraft Ott on Nov. 2, 1969, in Louisville. He worked with the New Chapel Volunteer Fire Department until his health would no longer allow it. He was best known for helping others and his kind heart. He will be truly missed by the people whose lives he touched.
He is survived by six brothers, Brian and Ronna Ott, of Parrish Fla., George and Beth Ott, New Albany, Glenn Ott, of Utah, Joseph and Lisa Fletcher Ott, of Raymore Mo., James and Sharon Ott, of Australia, and Robert Ott, of Jeffersonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Spring Valley Funeral and Cremation Services, New Albany. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home
Family request donations be made to the funeral home.
The family has chosen cremation.
