Edwards, Glen O.

77; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Glen O. Edwards, 77, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at New Chapel United Methodist Church, 5613 New Chapel Road, Jeffersonville, with burial in the New Chapel Cemetery. He died Wednesday, July 28, 2010.  

Glen was born in Somerset, Ky., retired from International Paper Company, a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 39 in New Albany, a former member of Masonic Lodge 340 in Jeffersonville, the Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville, Moose Lodge in Sellersburg, Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Jeffersonville, and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Evansville.   

Survivors include his loving wife, Jerri L. Edwards, of Jeffersonville; son, John G. Edwards and his wife, Paula, of Centreville, Va.; daughters, Linda Cardwell and her husband, Charles, of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty J. Zahnd, of New Albany, Addie L. Datish and her husband, Chuck, of Bedford, and Chelsea A. Pellman, of Clarksville; sister, Juanita Issac, of New Albany; brothers, Ivan J. Edwards and his wife, Patricia, of Shreveport, La., V. Barry Edwards, of Jeffersonville, Lowell T. Edwards, of Chicago, and Robert C. Edwards and his wife, Doris, of Bossier City, La.; grandchildren, Jeffrey N. Zahnd, Damon C. Datish, Jonathan P. Edwards, Bradley S. Zahnd, Marcus R. Pellman, Kristine L. Edwards, Nathan K. Ebersold, Cameron P. Edwards, Kailey L. Edwards; great-grandchildren, Jaiylynn R. Pellman and Tristen R. Pellman; and his faithful companion, Priss.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, George T. and Irene Edwards; and siblings, Harold Ray Edwards, Walter E. Edwards, Beluah Alexander and Genevia Kendall.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, and at the church after 9 a.m. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Chapel United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
