Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Farmer Ferreira, 79, of Charlestown, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery. She died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Scottsburg.
She was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Owenton, Ky., to Jesse and Hattie Perkins Chapman. She was a former chef and a Pentecostal.
Survivors include her sons, Danny and Alvie Farmer, both of Charlestown, Michael Farmer, of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and David Farmer, of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
