A memorial Mass for Georgie Lee Avery, 87, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville. She died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Uuniversity of Louisville Hospital.
She retired as a record clerk for Jeffersonville Police Department.
She is survived by sons, John Michael Avery, of Jeffersonville, and James Patrick Avery, of Jeffersonville; daughters Mary Carolyn Mesterharm, of Waynesville, N.C., and Mary Elizabeth Ferguson, of Floyds Knobs; grandchildren, David Dean, Jon Christian Mesterharm, Megan Elizabeth Hogan, Emily Rhae Cash, Gorgi Leigh and Thomas Avery; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thomas Avery Sr; son, Richard Thomas Avery Jr.; and parents, Emery Lee Goodhue and Elma Mae Goodhue.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to the time of service Monday. Cremation was chosen. E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
