A memorial service for James Austin Hunt, 50, of Kansas City, Mo., will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Southeast Christian Church, Louisville. He died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2010.
He was born Nov. 4, 1959, in Evansville. His childhood home was New Albany. He attended both Providence and New Albany High Schools. Later he made Tampa, Fla. his home before moving to Kansas City. He was part of the family business, Hunt Brothers Pizza, before leaving to raise funds for India's orphans with The Father’s Hands International Ministries. More recently, he was developing a sale organization for Motovox as well as working on an entrepreneurial idea of his own. He took pride in being a strong Christian and a loving father.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Drake; children, Dylan Cairns, Darby Hunt and Hope Hunt; parents, Vicki Pierce and the late Dr. Gene Pierce and Lonnie and Darla Hunt; brothers, Victor Hunt and his wife, Marie and Christopher Hunt; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends from everywhere. He will be sadly missed by all.
