Funeral services for Reva M. Joseph Kruer, 84, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Floyds Knobs, with burial in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Cemetery. She died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, in Fairfield, Texas, with her children by her side.
The daughter of the late Cecil and Colletta Holland Joseph, she was born April 6, 1925 in Norris City, Ill. She was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II, and was a member of the VFW Hobart Beach Post 3281 in New Albany. She was retired from Container Corporation in Jeffersonville and was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Kentuckiana Hearing Loss Association and was a volunteer at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
Survivors include a daughter, Stacie A. Boyd and her husband, Donald, of Fairfield, Texas; a son, Stephen L. Kruer and his wife, Vicki, of Floyds Knobs; grandchildren, Traci Kruer, Amy Kruer Scorsolini and husband, Scott, Jon Barnett, Elton Boyd and Kenneth Boyd; and great-grandchildren, Derek and Drew Scorsolini, Bethany Barnett and Nevan and Murphy Boyd.
She was the widow of Marvin L. Kruer.
Visitation at Kraft Funeral Services, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy in her memory, take the form of contributions to St. Mary of the Knobs Church or School.
