Funeral Mass for Carolyn J. Fogle McPhillips, 80, of New Albany, formerly of Louisville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New Middletown. She died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Mercy-Providence Retirement Home.
She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in 1950 and later retired as a chief clerk for ICI America’s. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, an associate member of Our Lady Catholic Church (Good Shepherd) in Louisville, and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach. She was born Aug. 2, 1932, to the late Francis O. and Elizabeth L. Gilkey Fogle.
She is survived by her son, Francis O. McPhillips and his wife, Cindy; grandson, Patrick McPhillips; and sisters, Lois Erwin and Frances Oleta Williams.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick McPhillips.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 11 a.m. Saturday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
