Funeral services for Earl Wesley Smith, 93, of Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. He died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Ohio County, Ky., to Dowe and Vienna Hunt Smith. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired mechanical parts assembler from Naval Ordnance.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Richmond; sons; Richard Smith, of Charlestown, and David Smith, of Crosby, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
