Funeral services for Ora Lee Steele Thien, 93, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
She greatly enjoyed fishing with family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, friend, and neighbor who will be missed dearly. She was born April 10, 1919, to the late Warner and Lillie Lawson Steele.
She is survived by her son, Carl H. Thien Jr. and his wife, Carol, of New Albany; sisters, Hazel Flora, Loretta Cox, and Edna Diech; and brother, John “Jack” Steele and his wife, Phyllis.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Thien Sr.; sister, Ada Buchheit; and brother, Buddy Steele.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
