Funeral services for David Alan Scott, 39, of New Albany, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the First Presbyterian Church, Jeffersonville. He died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was a Indiana State Police Trooper with District 45 where he was a firearms instructor, EVO instructor, Indiana State Police Honor Guard, Indiana State police Spanish instructor, and a member of the Floyd County CART Team. He was a Eagle Scout and a charter member of PI KAPPA PHI Queens University in North Carolina. He was a 1991 graduate from St. Xavier High School.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Scott; daughters, Abigail MacKenzie Scott, and Lillean Elizabeth Scott; parents, Charles E. Scott Jr. and Donna Scott; brother, John Charles Scott; sister, Katheryn Marie Rein and her husband, Michael; and a sister, Rista Scott, O.S.U.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, at Spring Valley Funeral & Cremation Services, New Albany.
