NEW ALBANY —
Funeral services for Connie Lynn Wilson Corn Sheckells, 62, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, at Generations Funeral Home, Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery, Georgetown. She died Thursday, March 11, 2010.
She was a member of the Heartland Church of the Nazarene in Floyds Knobs. She had worked at the New Albany Tribune and Evening News, as well as the New Albany/Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation. Connie was a avid reader and loved to travel. She was born Feb. 28, 1948, in New Albany.
Survivors include her mother, Darolene J. Stroud Wilson; brothers, Alan Wilson and his wife, Roxanne, of Jeffersonville, and Jeff Wilson and his wife, Tina, of New Albany; sisters, Diana Parsley and her husband, Daniel, of Sellersburg, Nancy Martin and her husband, Gordon, and Debbie Donan and her husband, Larry, all of New Albany; three nieces; and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Corn and Vern Turner, and father, Raymond C. Wilson.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
