>>SOUTHERN INDIANA — A funeral Mass for Lester G. Lash, 81, of Elizabeth (Floyd County), will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, 338 North 25th St., Louisville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Beehive Homes of Georgetown.
He was a long-time employee of Smith Transfer Company in Louisville and was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish in Louisville. He was also a grain farmer on the home place. He was born Sept. 29, 1928, in New Albany, to the late Floyd N. and Vella A. Ross Lash.
Survivors include his wife, Joan M. Koeberlein Lash; children, Dr. Joseph Lash and his wife, Carole, and Judith Lash, all of Louisville, Janet Young and her husband, David, of New Albany, John Lash and his wife, Dorothy, of Geneva, Ill., and Jeanine Gruner and her husband, Stephen, of Louisville; and grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Katherine, William, Lauren, Stephen, Eric, Matthew, and John.
Visitation will be at Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday.
