Nancie M. Wilkins

84; of Clarksville

Private funeral services for Nancie M. Wilkins, 84, of Clarksville, were held today, Thursday, April 12, at Adams Funeral Home, Henryville, with burial in Lexington Cemetery. He died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Prior to going into the hospital, she was a resident of Wedgewood Nursing Home.

She was born on July 23, 1927, in Henry County, Ky., to Earl and Mable LeCompte Moore who are both deceased. She was married to Robert E. Adams who is also deceased. She retired from the Charlestown Powder Plant where she was employed for 34 years. She was a member of the Speed Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, crocheting, collecting ducks, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Survivors include her four children, Janet Balmer, of Starlight, Edward Adams and his wife, Kay, of Henryville, Chuck Adams and his wife, Lory, of Clarksville,  and Jeffery Adams and Joni, of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Farnsley and her husband, Bruce, of New Albany; and a brother, Marvin Moore and his wife, Nyla Sue, of Henryville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sets of twin siblings, four brothers and two sisters.
