JEFFERSONVILLE —
A memorial service for Carmen M. Thornton Muir, 53, of Jeffersonville, will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, at the New Progressive Baptist Church, in Jeffersonville. Cremation was chosen. She died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital, in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include a daughter Erica K. Sims, of Jeffersonville; sons James A. Sims Jr. and Jessie A. Sims, both of Jeffersonville; grandchild Jordan E. Sims, of Jeffersonville; sisters Brenda Smith, of Jeffersonville, and Kimberly Pope, of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers James Henry Thornton, Jackie Thornton, Paul Thornton, Bryant Thornton and Michael Thornton, all of Jeffersonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents Isaiah Thornton and Evelyn Gallahar; and a brother, Timothy Thornton.
Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville is in charge of arrangements.
