79; of Jeffersonville

JEFFERSONVILLE —  

Funeral services for Joe Clyde Brown, Sr. 79, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at Gilt Edge Baptist Church, 1713 Green St., Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at his home.

He was a native of Memphis, Tenn., the former owner and operator of Limouzines by Pierre, a retired local special policeman, a retired employee of Harley Davidson Louisville, and a member of Gilt Edge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, June E. Oliver Brown; sons, Joe Clyde Brown Jr., and Michael Brown and his wife, Rhonda; daughters, Renee Collins and her husband, Clarence Sr., Cynthia Collins and her husband, Charles, Beverly Johnson, and Regina Bell Ezell; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

Perryman’s Mortuary, 34th and Broadway Sts., Louisville, is in charge of the arrangements.
