Funeral services for Hazel Marie Clark, 96, a life long resident of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.
She was born in Harrison County, to Martin and Lola Lilly who preceded her in death. She was an active member of Ohio Falls United Methodist Church and a member of the BYKOTA Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Tri-County Shrine Apet Guild and Motor Mates. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1934, she worked for 10 years at Colgate and later worked for Story Novelty. After her husband James retired, they enjoyed visiting family and traveling around the country with friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Jean Smith and her husband, Donald, of New Albany; grandson, Christopher Smith, of Clarksville; granddaughter, Bridget Nannini and her husband, Steve, of Norton, Ma.; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Samantha, Gianna and Nicholas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 73 years, James V. Clark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Ohio Falls United Methodist Church, Clarksville.
