Memorial services for Margie E. Roederer Rudie, 89, of Jeffersonville, will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville. She died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2012.
She was born in Jeffersonville and was a lifelong resident of Clark County. She was a member of Jeffersonville High School Class of 1941, a retired secretary from Greater Clark County Schools and a devout Jeffersonville High School Red Devil fan.
Survivors include her two children, Ruth Roederer Popp and her husband, John, of Jeffersonville, and Raymond Joseph Rudie Jr. and his wife, Holly Brady, of Oregon City, Ore.; five grandchildren, Kirsten Ray Popp-Pfalzgraf and her husband, Daniel, John Lennon Popp, Kyle William Rudie, Matthew Raymond Rudie and Katherine Alyssa Rudie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raymond Joseph Rudie Sr.; her parents, John Adam and Ruth Murphy Roederer; and a sister, Jane Spencer.
Visitation at the church will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8. Legacy Funeral Center of Jeffersonville is handling the arrangements.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Luke’s United Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the church.
