Funeral services for Faye Rogers, 82, of Underwood, were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 6, at Fairview Christian Church, Underwood, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012.
She was born Feb. 11. 1930 in Floyds Knobs, the daughter of the late Clarence Joseph and Cora Isabel Allen Banet. She was a 1948 graduate of Georgetown High School and was a retired administrative assistant for the old St. Edward’s Hospital in New Albany. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church, Underwood.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack D. Rogers; a son, Ed Rogers and his wife, Donna, of Scottsburg; a daughter, Janice Belviy and her husband, Robert, of Scottsburg; a daughter-in-law, Zel Rogers, of Indianapolis; three sisters, Judy Keithley and her husband, Don, of Edwardsville, Donna Grimes, of New Albany and Vicky Longest and her husband, David, of Floyds Knobs; a sister-in-law, Delores Banet, of New Albany; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Don Rogers, and a brother, Jerry Banet.
Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, and after 9 a.m. today, at the church.
