Billie ‘Bill’ Aker

78; of Sellersburg

Funeral services for Billie ‘Bill’ Aker, 78, of Sellersburg, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Westminster Health Care in Clarksville.

He was the founder of Chlorination Company Inc., a member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene in New Albany, a private pilot and had a strong passion for country music.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Aker; sons, Gary Aker, of Clarksville, Steven  Aker and his wife, Debbie, of Salem, and Scott Aker and his wife, Jodi, of Clayton, N.C.; brothers, Clifford Aker, of Indianapolis, and Gene Aker, of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Sally Smith, of Knightstown, and Betty Daniels, of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Leslie Faas and Carrie Franklin; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
