Funeral services for Laverne M. Proctor, 57, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, New Albany. She died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012.
She was a mother to many and loved her grandchildren. She always took care of others before worrying about herself. She was born Oct. 23, 1954, in Kentucky.
She is survived by her children, David Proctor and his wife, Dawn, Michael Proctor, and Jamie Matherly; siblings, Joseph, Diane, Linda and Steve Proctor; soul mate, James Leavell; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Proctor; and siblings, Gary, Virginia and David Proctor.
Visitation will from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
