Funeral services for Betty J. Barker, 85, of New Albany, will be at noon Monday, Jan. 7, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was born in Louisville, on Oct. 4, 1927 to the late George and Pearl Farmer. She was an artist, a loving mother and attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Robert Barker Jr., and Michael Barker and wife, Carrie;
daughter, Brenda Franks and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Phillip, Kira, and Nicholas Franks, and Melanie Huff and her husband, Richie; and great-grandchildren, Travis Jackson and Levi Huff.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Barker Sr.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
