Funeral services for Harry M. Reno Sr., 80, of Louisville, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Bethel AME Church, New Albany, with burial in Westhaven Cemetery, New Albany. He died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
He was born Dec. 19, 1932 in Greenville, Ky. He was a retired butcher for the Hoerter’s Meat Packing Company and the Kroger Company. He was an attendant of Bethel AME Church of New Albany. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and respected by all whom knew him. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn F. Walker-Reno; sons, Harry Reno Jr., and his wife, Ann, and Clifton “Marty” Reno; daughter, Mary Guest and her husband, Jonathan; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Reno, and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted with Spring Valley Funeral & Cremation Services, New Albany.
