Funeral services for Iva L. Shaffer, 94, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Georgetown, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Corydon on Nov. 29, 1918, the daughter of Emil G. and Ethel Crabtree Miller. She was a Practical Nurse at St. Edward’s Hospital in New Albany, and also did home care. She was a member of Georgetown Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Charles L. Davis, of Tuson, Ariz.; a daughter, Twila Kay Lee and her husband, Tony, of Floyds Knobs; a sister, Emma Jean Fouts, of Crandall; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Wayne Shaffer, a brother, Emil Miller, and two sisters; Iolene Niles and Crystal V. Miller.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 1, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Georgetown Church of the Nazarene.
