67; Jeffersonville

— Memorial services for Sue E. McClure, RN, 67, of Jeffersonville, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville. She will be cremated and buried at the family plot in Millersburg Cemetery, Millersburg, Mich., at a later date. She died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

  She was born in Rogers City, Mich., the daughter of the late Edward N. “Chick” and Frances E. Vallee. She devoted her life to the care of others as a registered nurse, much of that time at Clark Memorial Hospital on the oncology floor. In what little free time she had she enjoyed tending her gardens full of daylilies, evening primrose and bleeding hearts. In addition she loved swimming and could often be found reading beside the pool. She also liked to play the piano for her pleasure and that of her family.

  Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas G. McClure; her brother, Barry E. Vallee, of Eustis, Fla.; her daughter, Michelle D. Shepherd and husband, Timothy, of Hanover; her son, Gregory D. McClure and wife, Jennifer, of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren, Mary Kathryn, Tyler, Lance, Evan, Juliana, Kahlan and Ethan; two nieces, Amy and Linda; nephew, Steven; grandnieces and grandnephews.

  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia.

Visitation will be held on from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

  In lieu of flowers donations be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana and/or the Chapel at Clark Memorial Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
