Funeral services for Viola E. Seitz Grugin-Carmickle, 95, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Lanesville. She died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany.
She was a native of Lanesville, and a member of Scottsville Christian Church. She was a 1935 graduate of New Albany High School and was an employee of the New Albany-Floyd County School Corp. having worked as support staff for Mt. Tabor Elementary School in New Albany. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, La Belle Chapter 419 and the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include five nephews; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lee Grugin; her second husband, Otis O. Carmickle; two sisters, Kathryn Plant, and Margaret Stewart; and a brother, Henry Seitz.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
