Funeral services for Mary L. “Mudd” Vest, 81, of Jeffersonville, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at E. M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Vest was a retired caseworker for the Clark County Welfare Department and also worked as a sales clerk for the old Bacon’s, Dillards and J. C. Penney’s.
Survivors include her son Archie Vest III of San Diego, Calif.; daughters Julie J. Cottington of Jeffersonville, and Cassy J. (Duff) Vance of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Jeannie Vest of San Diego, Calif., Jesse Cottington, Grant Vance and Kealey Vance all of Jeffersonville; and great granddaughter Ardienne Hiser of Lanesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Vest Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Animal Protection Society.
