Funeral services for Phyllis Elaine “Cissell” Monihon, 85, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Legacy Funeral Center, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Westminster Healthcare, Clarksville.
She was born in Louisville, was a retired Bookkeeper at Austin and Davis Food Company and a member of the Professional Business Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed knitting and sewing.
She is survived by her four children, Marsha Monihon, John Monihon and his wife, Susan, Ronnie Monihon and his wife, Lynn, and Christi Rider and her husband, Brian; brother, Charles Cissell; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Monihon; parents, Marshall and Algae Cissell; and daughter, Jackie Kay Monihon.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
