Funeral services for Rebecca “Becky” Sowder, 59, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Utica Hillcrest Cemetery. She died Monday, May 7, 2012.
She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt to her family. She worked for many years as a Counselor for Koala Hospital in Indianapolis and then Clark Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Earl Q. Sowder Jr. and Rosalie Sowder, of Jeffersonville; three siblings, Tres Sowder and his wife, Sally, of Jeffersonville, Tina Barchard, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Hope English and her husband, Lee, of Prospect, Ky. She will be missed dearly by her nieces and nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
