A memorial service for Ephriom Smothers Sr., 64, of Charlestown, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown. He died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1947, to Willie H. and Mildred R. Williamson Smothers in Gravel Switch, Ky. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired postal clerk for the Louisville Post Office, and a machinist for the Naval Ordinance.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Lyons Smothers; daughter, Angela Smothers, of Charlestown; son, Ephriom Smother Jr., of Charlestown; brother, Robert Smothers, of Henryville; sister, Helen Miles, of Charlestown; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
