Funeral services for Herbert “Herby” Lee Wade, 73, of Elizabeth, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Graceland Baptist Church, 3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany, with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was born April 20, 1939, in Scottsburg, to his late parents, Boyce and Mary Wade. He was an Army veteran and a member of Graceland Baptist Church. He retired from Clarke American and enjoyed travel, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years and 11 months, Loretta R. Wade; daughter, Debbie Newman and her husband David; son, Lee Wade and his wife Sandy; brothers, Jim Wade and his wife Adele, Charles Wade and his wife Jane, and David Wade and his wife Mary; sister, Ann Wade Ruddick; sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Seewer and her husband Doug; grandchildren, Rachael Blunk and her husband Bill, Daniel Newman, Jessica Newman and her partner Jeff Dugan, Jonathan Wade and Krystal Wade Snyder; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Keegan and Casey; and numerous nieces and nephews and special pet, Roxy
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Bob Wade
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
