Funeral services for Betty Wilson Meek, 89, of Sellersburg, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in New Chapel Cemetery. She died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Providence Retirement Home.
She worked for ICI America, a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church, WSCS, assisted with Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and FHA.
Survivors include a son, Terry I. Meek and his wife, Priscilla, of Floyds Knobs; daughter, Patricia Haynes, of Speed; grandchildren, Bradley Haynes and his wife, Roxane, Kari Swarens and her husband, Matthew, Leah Meek, and Tori Meek; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Alex, David, Katie, Adyson, Austin and Laila.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Meek, mother, Erma Collins, step-father, Dewey Collins, and sister. Dorothy Wilson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Research or Providence Retirement Home.
