Funeral services for Bonnie Edra Hecker, 79, of Charlestown, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Silver Creek Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Sellersburg.
She was born on May 5, 1933 in Monticello, Ky. to Ova Hoyt and Maggie Barrett Webb. She was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Hecker; sons Michael R. Hecker, of Charlestown, Larry J. Hecker (Bobbi Higdon), of Andros, Bahamas; daughters, Rebecca S. Duvall and her husband, Danny, of Otisco, Jenny L. Summitt and her husband, David, of Sellersburg, Trina K. Patterson and her husband, Randy, of Charlestown, and Jackie L. Johnson and her husband, James, of Tequesta, Fla.; brothers, Russell Webb and Otis Webb; sisters, Dorothy Williams and Jenny Chiesa; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lester Webb, a daughter, Roberta Robertson, and a grandson, Michael Neil Hecker.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
