Justin Wallace Wade

37; of Borden

A funeral Mass for Justin Wallace Wade, 37, of Borden, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Starlight, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

Graduated as salutatorian from Borden High School in 1993, he held a bachelor’s degree in aviation from Emery-Riddle. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight.  He was a flight instructor and pilot at Happs Airport in Clarksville and a computer technician for M& M Office Products in Sellersburg. He was a member of the NRA and K of C Cardinal Ritter Council 1221 in New Albany. Known by many, loved by all, Justin’s battle with cancer was the epitome of strength, determination, and courage. Unconditional love and devotion to his family and friends made him the beloved son, brother, husband, father, nephew, cousin, and friend that he was. He was born March 25, 1975 in New Albany, to Gary and Darita Jackson Wade.  

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of eight years, Sally A. Emery Wade; children, Alice and Johnathan Wade; brother, Jason Wade and his wife, Jennifer; sister, Jennifer Pierce and her husband, Michael; grandmother, Anita Wade; nieces and nephews, Gavin Just, Harrison Wade, Selby and Jackson Pierce, and Adelie and Caleb Tegart; parents-in-law, David and Nancy Emery; brother-in-law, John Emery; and sister-in-law, Carrie Tegart and her husband, Mark.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wallace Wade; and grandparents, Ralph and Leona Jackson.  

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 23, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. this evening, at the Forest Discovery Center at Koetter Woodworking, Inc., 533 Louis Smith Road, Borden.

Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
