Louise Oehmann Edrington




80; of New Albany

Funeral services for Louise Oehmann Edrington, 80, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with entombment at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

The daughter of the late John and Geraldine Allen Oehmann, she was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Jeffersonville. She was a retired manager of bindery and printing from Standard Gravure in Louisville and was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen L. Crump and her husband, Steven; sons, Charles W. Edrington and his wife, Sally and Michael W. Edrington and his wife, Peggy; brother, John Sidney Oehmann; sisters, Mary Jane Landwehr and Carolyn Ann Spears; sister-in-law, Vivian Beard; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Charlie” Edrington, and her brother, Donald C. Oehmann.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Autism Society.
