Memorial service for Wanda Diane Rucker, 59, formerly of Jeffersonville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Stephen Church, Jeffersonville. A funeral service and burial will be held in her home town of Harrisburg, Pa. on Friday, March 1. She died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of Gloria Lomax and the late William T. Rucker Sr., she was born in Harrisburg, Pa. She was a Christian, member of St. Stephen Church, Jeffersonville, and New Hope Baptist Church in Steelton, Pa. She enjoyed traveling, studying the Bible and helping others. She was a graduate of Bliss House, a member of Bliss House Alumnae Association and a volunteer at Bliss.
Survivors include her brothers, Pastor William Rucker, Church Elder Stephen Rucker, and Elder Kenneth Rucker; sisters, April Kim Rucker and Cindy Gammel; friends; and her cat, Baby.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Wanda Rucker Scholarship Fund of The Center for Lay Ministries/Bliss House, 211 E. Maple St., Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
