Funeral services for Bruce A. Day, 69, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He was born Aug. 26, 1943, in New Albany, to the late Kenneth and Dorothy Day. He was a dedicated Ford employee for 35 years and was loved dearly by his family.
Survivors include sons, Michael Day, of Louisville, and David Day and his wife, Meg, of Elizabeth; daughters, Marsha Harl and her husband, Brad, of Elizabeth, and Donna Springstun and her husband, Tom, of Scottsburg; brother, Sam Day and his wife, Peggy, of Elizabeth; eight grandchildren, Greg, Kassie, Hannah, Dylan, Sutton, Gracie, Jessica, and Chris; and one great-grandchild, Olivia.
He was preceded by his wife, Clarolyn Day; and a brother, Gary Day.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
