Funeral services for Gary K. Waltz, 72, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany. He died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012.
He retired from Pillsbury with more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed golf and was a frequent visitor of the Waffle House and Little Chef. He was born Sept. 26, 1939 in New Albany, to the late George R. and Elizabeth Richardson Waltz.
He is survived by his children, Scott A. Waltz, Karen Waltz-Phelps, Jeff Ruley, and Jennifer Ruley; former wife and caretaker, Doris Waltz; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his children, Steve Waltz, and Kevin Ruley; and son-in-law, David Phelps.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
