CLARK COUNTY

Dorothy L. Meisner Pruitt, 82, of Jeffersonville

A memorial service for Dorothy L. Meisner Pruitt, 82, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, at the Chapel of Mercy Providence Nursing Home, 4915 Charlestown Road, New Albany. She died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Mercy Providence Nursing Home in New Albany.

She was born July 21, 1924, in Jeffersonville. She was a retired clerk for the Clark County Department of Welfare.

Survivors include three children, Richard O. Pruitt Jr., New York, Barry L. Pruitt and his wife, Roslyn, Richmond, Va. and Donna L. Ramey and her husband, Bill, Jeffersonville; three grandchildren, Krista D. Mitchell Perdue and her husband, Sam, Lafayette, Cody C. and Jesse C. Pruitt, both of New York City; and a great-grandchild, Holly Perdue, Lafayette; two sisters, Laverne Zimmerman, Louisville and Christine Meisner, New Albany; a nephew, Chris Meisner and a niece, Jackie Comeaux and their families, Louisiana; and the entire staff of Mercy Providence Nursing Home who have so lovingly cared for her.

Cremation was chosen.

Visitation at the Chapel at Mercy Providence Nursing Home will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday.

Coots Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to Mercy Providence Nursing Home, 4915 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150.

Lucille Stemle Tabor, 93, of New Albany

A funeral Mass for Lucille Stemle Tabor, 93, of New Albany, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.

She was the former Lucille Rayl and a native of Vevay. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of New Albany. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include a son, David Stemle; two daughters, Sharon Wortham and Joyce Becker; an adopted son, Gale Stephens; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Irvin Stemle and Grover Tabor; and a son, Dennis Stemle.

Visitation at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 13. A prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.



Kathy R. Sinex, of New Albany

Kathy R. Sinex of New Albany died Thursday, July 12, 2007.

Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, followed by Celebration of Life Services at the Paul V. Shrader Funeral Home.



HARRISON COUNTY

Annis E. Barrow, 93, of Corydon

Funeral services for Annis E. Barrow, 93, of Corydon, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. She died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 13 and after 9 a.m. Saturday.



Arthur Garland Sloan Jr., 70, Army veteran

Funeral services for Arthur Garland Sloan Jr., 70, of Corydon, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Ky. He died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 13 and after 9 a.m. Saturday. There will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
