Funeral services for Daniel L. “Dan” Turner, 49, of New Albany, will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel of Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, with cremation to follow. He died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
He was the former owner of DT Restorations in New Albany, attended Clarksville High School, and truly loved his family and friends. He was born June 11, 1960, in Jeffersonville, to Shirley J. Finney Turner and the late William F. Turner, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Turner; sister, Marcia Williams, of Jeffersontown, Ky.; brother, Mark Turner and his wife, Becky, of Indianapolis; aunt, Jean Leist, of New Albany; nieces, Misty Newton and Diana and Hollye Turner; nephews, Adam and Chad Turner and Trent Kramer; and many beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Fred and Ruth Turner, Sue Martin; brother, William F. Turner Jr.; and brother-in-law, Donnie Williams.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Salvation Army.
