Funeral services with full military honors for Roscoe E. Meredith, 90, of Elizabeth, will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 31, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at his residence.
He was a native of Edmonson County, Ky., and was a retired construction employee at Laborers Local 576 in Louisville. He was an Army veteran, an avid horseman, and member of both the Blue River and Pekin Saddle Clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. Graf Meredith; children, Cynthia McNear and her husband, Jim, of Elizabeth, Deneen Stewart and her husband, Mark, of Elizabeth, Kimberly Cox of Greenville, Melody Wiseman-Cullins and her husband, Jim, of Elizabeth, and Donald Allen and his wife, Pam, of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jamie, Taylor, Nella, Andre, Logan, Lucas, Steven, Doug, Farah, and Joshua; and nephew, Roy Davis and his wife, Anna, of Brownsville, Ky.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. today.
