Funeral services for June Annabelle Gray, 74, of Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at her home.
She was born in Louisville, a retired secretary for the principal of Clarksville Middle School for 30 years, a member of Northside Christian Church and a beloved mother of two daughters.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Gray, Charlestown; daughters, Patricia Wallingford and her husband Tim, of Johnson City, Tenn., and Cheri Stoops and her husband Tom, of Hillsboro, Ohio; sisters, Rocky Prewitt and her husband David, of Shelbyville, Ky., Jackie Norton of Louisville, and Debbi Cissell of Prospect, Ky.; her stepmother, Judy Carter of Owensboro, Ky.; grandchildren, Tara and Kyle Stoops, both of Tampa, Fla., Ryan Wallingford of Spencerville, and Sean Wallingford of Cold Springs, Ky.; and great-granddaughter, Jayden Faith Wallingford of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell Carter and Lucille Carter.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m Sunday
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the June Gray Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Louisville Bible School in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
