Janice Louise Harris

73; of New Albany


Funeral services for Janice Louise Harris, 73, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Rolling Hills Health Care, New Albany.

She was born March 29, 1936, in McKee, Ky., to the late William and Jeanette Gadd. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, James M. Harris; son, Steve Harris and his wife, Diane, of New Albany; daughters, Kathy M. Hall and her husband, Glenn N., of Fort Myers, Fla., and Marty L. Miller of Port Angeles, Wash.; grandchildren, Sam Harris, Hannah Harris, Derek Norrington and his wife, Tamethia, Ryan Hall, Matt Miller and his wife, Tia, Janna Veach and her husband, Jeff, and Jeanette Dickinson and her husband, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Taylor Gross, Macayla Lada, Nia Miller and Rye Miller; and brother, Jimmy D. Gadd and his wife, Lori, of Georgetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty McClure; and brother, Billy Gadd.

Visitation will be at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homesfrom 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
